Born in Cluj-Napoca in a family of musicians, Maria started studying violin in her hometown with Professors Vasile Socea and Nicușor Silaghi, and is currently studying with Professors David Grimal and Krzysztof Chorzelski (chamber music) at the Hochschule für Musik Saar, Saarbrücken in Germany.

She is the winner of the 2022 George Enescu International Violin Competition, and in the summer of the same year she won the New Hope Grand Prix Competition in Cluj, which offers her the opportunity to perform in Romania with 10 philharmonic orchestras during the 2022-2023 season.

Maria performed with renowned musicians such as Gary Hoffman, Marc Coppey, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Diemut Poppen, Frans Helmerson, David Grimal, Boris Brovtsyn, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Claire Désert, Philippe Cassard, and since 2020 she has been a member of Les Dissonances, the only orchestra in the world to perform symphonic repertoire without a conductor.
