Cello Professor at the Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca and, in addition to his soloist activity, he is the Organizer of the New Hope series of charity concerts, one of the most resonant cultural projects in Romania.

Winner of numerous competitions in Romania and abroad, Octavian has performed on four continents alongside famous names in the field of classical music and on renowned stages, such as Musikverein in Vienna, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Luxembourg Philharmonie.

He graduated the National University of Music in Bucharest under the guidance of Professor Marin Cazacu, studied at the Conservatoire Supérieur National de Musique in Paris with Professors Roland Pidoux and Xavier Philips, also participated at the Kronberg Academy in Germany where he was tutored by cellists Frans Helmerson and Gary Hoffman.
