Julia Karpeta

Dedicated performer of baroque instruments as the Bass and Soprano Viol and Violone in G, also Founder and member of Duo Fernabucco. Julia was invited in several early music festivals, including the: International Festival Wratislavia Cantans, Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, BRQ Vantaa Festival, Actus Humanus, MITTO SettembreMusica, Misteria Paschalia, Kromer Festival Biecz, Intenational Bach Festival in Świdnica and Festival International de Santander.

She graduated from the Secondary Music School in Wrocław in the Viola da Gamba class with Professor Petr Wagner and mastered her skills under the guidance of Professor Brent Wissick at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Rainer Zipperling at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne as well as Mark Caudle at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. She has also participated in Masterclasses with Professors: Paolo Pandolfo, Wieland Kuijken and Lucas Peres.

As member of the Overtone Trio she specialized in 17th and 18th century repertory. In 2023 the ensemble was invited in residence at Odyssée Project of the Fondation Les Arts Florissants in France, supported by the French Ministry of Culture.

She won the Young Poland Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

Julia Karpeta will perform within the CellEAST Festival on May 12th and 13th 2024.
