Dragan Djordjević

Dragan Đorđević (Suzuki) is one of the most distinctive artistic personalities of his generation. After studies in Belgrade, London (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with Stefan Popov), and Essen (with Jang-Chang Choom), he was appointed at a young age as professor of cello at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.

He has performed as soloist with major orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, following an invitation from Valery Gergiev. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has appeared at leading festivals such as BBC Proms and Auvers-sur-Oise, and has toured extensively across Europe, Asia, and the United States.

A laureate of major international competitions, he collaborates regularly with leading international artists and is a member of the DOUBLE SENS ensemble, recording for Deutsche Grammophon.

Dragan is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and Artistic Director of the School for Musical Talents in Ćuprija and the Ravanelius Festival.
