Christo Pavlov
Christo Pavlov (1971) is a conductor, composer, and flutist with a distinguished career. He was principal flutist of the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra from 1990-2014 and has been Director and Principal Conductor of Sinfonietta Vratsa since 2017. Christo is also the Music Director of the Sofia Metropolitan Orchestra and Choir. He has conducted major orchestras, including the Czech Philharmonic and Sofia Philharmonic, and has worked on numerous CD, film, and game projects with companies like HBO and BMG.
Christo’s recordings have won awards, including two EMI prizes and a Grammy nomination. He has collaborated with artists such as Nigel Kennedy and Jose Carreras. A regular at international festivals, he has performed in renowned venues like the Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid.
