Bruno is one of the most sought-after baroque cellists, Founder of Les Basses Réunies, Artistic Director of the Vannes Early Music Institute, Professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and Haute école de musique de Genève – Neuchâtel.

After his studies in Tours and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon, Bruno approached more the baroque cello and studied with cellists Anner Bijlsma and Jaap Schroeder, the defining moments of his career being the Gérard Lesne’s Seminario Musicale Masterclasses and Le Concert des Nations and Hespérion XX-XXI with Jordi Savall.

In 1996, he founded Les Basses Réunies and recorded his first CD with the cello sonatas by Antonio Vivaldi for the Alpha Records. Bruno has recorded numerous CDs with diverse and significant repertory from the baroque period, and his latest album released in 2022 includes the cello sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven.

In 2011, he founded the Vannes Early Music Institute in Brittany, which comprises notably a European academy of early music, an instrument-making workshop and a resource centre devoted to repertories from the Renaissance to the 19th century.
