Bertrand Cuiller
Bertrand Cuiller is a French harpsichordist and ensemble director, active as a soloist, chamber musician, and artistic director of Le Caravansérail. Trained in Paris and mentored by Pierre Hantaï, he gained international recognition after winning Third Prize at the Bruges Competition and has since appeared with leading early music ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants, Concert Spirituel, and Le Poème Harmonique.
His repertoire ranges from the English Virginalists and Domenico Scarlatti to French Baroque masters and J. S. Bach. His acclaimed discography includes recordings for Alpha Classics, Mirare, Harmonia Mundi, and Ramée. Since founding Le Caravansérail in 2015, he has led the ensemble in major international projects, recordings, and tours.
In addition to his performing career, Bertrand Cuiller is a sought-after pedagogue and regularly gives masterclasses at major institutions, including the Conservatoires of Paris and Lyon and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He is also frequently invited to serve as a jury member at international competitions, including the Bruges and Wanda Landowska Competitions.
