Cello Professor at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music and Lyubomir Pipkov National Music School in Sofia, Artistic Director of the Cellissimo International Cello Festival and Academy in Bulgaria.

Atanas was invited as Professor at Masterclasses in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine and performed many concerts in Austria, Brazil, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Greece, Serbia, Slovakia and within all important Bulgarian festivals.

He is the laureate of Jeunesses Musicales in Serbia and International Competition in Liezen, also winner of various awards such as: Reina Sofia Chamber Music Prize – personally awarded by Queen Sofia, Young Talent Academy Award, Golden Muse Award, Crystal Lyre Award from UBMD and Golden Century Award from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture.

Atanas graduated from the National Academy of Music Sofia with a Master’s Degree in Prof. Anatoli Krastev’s class and specialized with Prof. Natalia Shakhovskaia – in Escuela de Música Reina Sofia in Madrid.

Atanas Krastev will perform within the CellEAST Festival on May 8^th, 12^th and 15^th 2024.
